The Unexpected

Sometimes life takes us down a path we did not expect often times catching us off guard. What I am learning is that the unexpected can be the direction where the the very best of who we are is found. It's not the easiest of paths to follow but it's where growth takes place. I believe God allows things to happen that causes our lives to be redirected. Many times we know that life can be better but it's comfortable and easy staying put. Taking that leap into the unknown isn't what most people are willing to do. As I look back over my life this past twelve months there were many days that I knew I was not living life. I was simply going through the motion of being alive. In all honesty it was draining my strength and consuming my time in a way that did not allow me the energy to do those things that I enjoy, like writing my blog post. The unexpected happened, which I will discuss in a future blog post. For myself I never want to look back on my life with regret, I want to give my dreams and desires an earnest chance. If things don't work out the way I hope at least I can say that I tried! But I am an earnest believer that things will work out better than I expect. Scripture reminds us that God has good plans for us. Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

I will be the first to admit it's not easy following his path because it's usually longer and requires a more elevated and mature version of who we currently are. That's because God wants us to be able to handle the blessing and not be consumed by it. As life throws us curb balls, catch them and run to the finish line in victory. The unexpected can often times be the very best thing we never knew we needed. I hope you are inspired by today's post, please share with someone you love. And never forget, we are unstuck, and we are free!
